(National Certificate: Business Administration Services NQF Level 2 Saqa ID 23833)

This National certificate qualification is presented in line with SAQA qualification 23833, and will be beneficial to any employee who finds him/herself in an organisation. Learners will explore the several elements of business, promoting professional and personal growth; this will be achieved through the following modules;

Professional Conduct:
    • Behave in a professional manner
    • Organise oneself in the workplace
    • Maintain a work area
    • Manage time and work processes within a work environment
    • Manage a diary for self and others
    • Operate and take care of equipment in an office environment
    • Operate in a team
    • Demonstrate ability to lead a team or group
    • Maintain effective working relationships with other members of staff
    • Maintain and adapt oral communication
    • Receive and execute instructions
    • Receive, distribute and dispatch messages in a work environment
    • Apply knowledge of self in order to make a personal decision
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the rights and responsibilities of the individual under the South African Constitution, Labour related legislation.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS in a workplace, and its effects on a business sub-sector, own organisation and a specific workplace

Customer Service:
    • Attend to customer enquiries
    • Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls
    • Receive, consult and direct visitors in a work area
    • Order and distribute supplies

Basic End-user Computer skills:
    • Operate a personal computer system
    • Operate personal computer peripherals
    • Demonstrate knowledge of and produce word processing documents using basic functions
    • Demonstrate the ability to use electronic mail software to send and receive messages

The Organisation Environment:
    • Contribute to the health, safety and security of the workplace
    • Understand and use Basic Business calculations
    • Understand and use Basic Business text
    • Do Basic Research

The learnership consists of 24 contact sessions, of 8 hours each, and can run over a period of 12 to18 months. The distribution of these contact sessions can be scheduled to suit the needs of the client.

Training will take place at the client’s place of business; an alternative venue can be arranged at the client’s expense.
